Powin is looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to oversee and improve our North America manufacturing processes. This position will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and enhancing operating/manufacturing systems by utilizing continuous improvement (Lean) tools to improve manufacturing quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and conformance with regulatory standards. As the primary liaison with Powin’s factory’s and Contract Manufacturer’s, this position will work closely with our Design Engineers in providing key inputs to both current designs as well as new product introductions, thereby ensuring optimal Design for Manufacturing to increase manufacturability and optimize/decrease costs.

Job Details:

Providing technical solutions to manufacturing processes and procedures involved in delivering products.

Working with all levels to identify and implement process improvements, find process interactions & dependencies  Determining root cause in problem resolution and ensuring implementation of improvements.

Leading value analysis and value engineering initiatives in driving YoY productivity gains.

Designing testing methods/equipment to ensure product and process quality.

Ensuring manufacturing & testing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.

Establishing & driving key operational performance metrics within our CM’s in delivering quality, on-time delivery at optimal cost.

Maintaining and applying knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications for NPI.


B.S. degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or Process-Engineering or related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.

Commitment to health and safety standards & environmental regulations.

Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication, testing methods and tool design.

Organizational Abilities – bias for teamwork and ability to prioritize tasks, set schedules and work between different projects.
