ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY-

The role of Master Schedule is a critical key functional position, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP). This position will require an experienced Master Scheduler to manage and manage supply plan concert with demand planning scheduling. Assess production schedule impacts, with root cause and corrective action recommendations. Working closely with 3rd Party contract manufactures in Western continents and Pacific Rims on lead times and capacity management. This role will be challenged to coordinate real time inputs from production data sources, to update and communicate the supply plan. the core functions of the position include tactical decision-making, and process improvement recommendations related supply plans and timing of Finished Goods.

Job Details:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain tools as well as techniques required to evaluate impact of proposed schedule changes.
  • Reviews the Master Production Schedule, “Build Plan” relating to production items and evaluates the need for changes based on daily/weekly activity for a full production program.
  • Convey and negotiate with Demand Planning along with Contract and In-House manufacturers to assure schedule achievability.
  • Convey or publish Master Production Schedule Production “Build Plan” to stakeholders on a regular cadence.
  • Analyzes the demand and supply balance at the product family and master schedule levels, determining out-of-balance conditions, identifying alternatives, and recommending solution sets to management.
  • Evaluate plant/supplier capacity and identify areas where improvements can be implemented.
  • Monitors the manufacturing performance against the production schedules, and the execution of the schedule to evaluate results and assisting in the development of future operational improvements.
  • Reviews and resolves schedule problems, avoids potential problems resulting from schedule changes, determines the necessity for schedule changes taking appropriate action based on the impact on short- and long-range production/capacity, and recommends changes to the production schedule.
  • Reports and escalates out of tolerances of master production schedule and production strategy to internal stakeholders.
  • Develops a working knowledge of the company's products and processes to ensure optimal master schedule stability, order creation, rescheduling, and level loading.
  • Acts as internal educator and consultant on master scheduling issues, providing education and training throughout the company to improve company-wide understanding of Master Schedule functions.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics. Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience with 3rd Party Contract Manufacturing required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain (experience in Supply Planning, and Manufacturing scheduling in an environment of both manufactured and sourced finished goods highly preferred).
  • APICS Certification a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in lean principles/methodologies.
  • Excellent time management skills, including multi-tasking and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, follow up and attention to details. Adaptable to multiple requests, daily changes and still deliver on commitments.
  • Data-driven with demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to work independently while still functioning well in a team environment.
  • Able to communicate effectively with senior management, peers, and colleagues cross-functionally.
  • Key Skillsets include meeting facilitation, strong communication, skill sharing and training.
