Summary
The Junior Attorney will be part of dynamic and fast-moving legal team that is addressing interesting challenges across a broad range of disciplines. You will need to have flexibility and a strong willingness to learn. Successful candidate will have strong credentials and some experience preferred in tax, international law, trade compliance, IP, and/or litigation. We are looking for someone that is willing to dive into new topics and navigate ambiguity with a flexible, creative, and collaborative approach. This is a multi-discipline role, and the most important quality and willingness to roll up sleeves and work hard. You will have significant responsibility across different aspects of the company’s operations and will have an opportunity to grow your career.
Job Details
- Work with senior counsel and collaborate with management to draft legal documents and review contracts
- Responsible for oversight of matters as experience and aptitude are demonstrated
- Legal team consist of three attorneys, a contracts manager and paralegal will support growth and provide opportunity to take on challenges as appropriate
- Provide legal review and advice for complex contracts and other legal matters
Qualifications
- J.D. Law degree required, must have an active bar license for at least one state
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- 2-4 years of relevant legal experience in private practice at top firm or corporate practice with training in one or more of the following: tax, international law, trade compliance, IP, insurance, securities compliance, and/or litigation, deep background is not required in all areas
- Experience drafting and negotiating corporate contracts while researching, statues and case law
- Passion for clean energy and entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Ability to manage and partner with outside counsel
- Intellectually curious and self-motivated
