Powin is a leading producer of a utility scale modular battery energy storage system (complete with a patented, advanced, cloud-based monitoring/control system). That means we build power plants out of batteries that put coal and gas generators out of business and enable sustainable viability for renewable energy sources like solar and wind.

Powin is, and will continue to be, one of a handful of companies that will provide the equipment necessary to make this happen. Powin has distinct competitive advantages: cost-effectiveness; reliability; scalability; ease of deployment; and operational sophistication. Every day we work to ensure that we maintain these competitive advantages and our position as a global leader in providing turnkey, battery energy storage solutions for utility-scale, commercial and industrial, and microgrid applications.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our rapidly growing Projects team! In this role, you will oversee a variety of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction projects from inception to commercial operation, both domestically and internationally with projects ranging from small equipment supply and commissioning projects to full scale utility grade EPC projects.

  • Monitor project progress and resolve problems that may arise.
  • Work with PMO in budget tracking and approving and submitting invoices.
  • Work with PMO and Sales teams to develop project execution plans and budgets.
  • Analyze and manage project risks.
  • Negotiate with external vendors and contractors on contract agreements.

  • Demonstrated experience in the management of projects in the electric power or power generation industry such as battery energy storage, solar, wind and data centers, as well as related scope including civil, high voltage electrical systems, underground cabling, etc.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, safety and OSHA standards, and contract and vendor management.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills both with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, handling multiple responsibilities, requiring quick turnaround.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • PMP or an equivalent certification is a plus!
