Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the Manager Accounts Payable within Powin’s Finance & Accounting department. Exceptional attention to detail, reliability, and adaptability will be required of a successful candidate for the role.
Job Details
- Process full-cycle accounts payable transactions (PO and non-PO), obtain appropriate approvals, ensure accurate coding, and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure proper vendor set up in ERP
- Review vendor statements and follow up on any missing invoices
- Work with vendors to reconcile complicated accounts
- Review and process expense reports according to company policy
- Assist with management of all company issued credit cards
- Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statement
- Assist with annual external audit
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent experience, project-based accounting experience a plus
- 2+ years of general accounting experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential
- Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Experience with NetSuite ERP a plus
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and pivot focus quickly when necessary
