Powin’s Finance team is seeking a collaborative and commercially minded professional to partner with our global sales organization and provide guidance on all financial aspects of deals with prospective customers. This position will capitalize on your Deal Desk, FP&A and/or Sales Operations experience to navigate non-standard and sometimes complex deal structures, providing a clear picture of deal profitability and cash impact. This position will work closely with the Sales, Contracting, and other members of the Finance team.

Job Details:

  • Serve as the point of contact and finance subject matter expert on new bid development and requests to make specific changes to deal structures
  • Maintain alignment with Powin’s financial goals, using tools developed for battery energy storage agreements (BESA) pricing to calculate margin and cash flow for new deals, adapting to individual customer circumstances
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of Powin’s business model, services, product offerings and recommended contract structures
  • Coordinate changes to commercial terms with Sales, Legal, and Finance teams, and usher deals through approval process from cross-departmental and executive leadership
  • Train and advise Sales and other stakeholders on updates to pricing, best practices, and impacts to deal pipeline
  • Work with pricing manager to adapt tools for new circumstances and strategies
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting exercises in collaboration with Finance and Sales partners
  • Create ad hoc analyses, including but not limited to measuring revenue and margin impact for changes considered by the business
  • Provide additional support for auditors, investors, and customers, as needed


  • College degree in Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5-8 years of combined experience in Deal Desk, FP&A, or Sales Operations
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting, specifically ASC 606
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, Index/Match, Data Visualization, VBA a plus)
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP a plus and/or CRM (Salesforce, Monday.com, or other)
  • Experience improving systems, tools, and processes to create a more efficient organization
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Commercially minded, with an ability to see the business goal and drive attainment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written, verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence others
  • Adept organizational skills including file structure support and assignment tracking
