ABOUT THE POSITION -

Powin’s Product Engineering team is seeking an Engineer to join the Sustaining Engineering group. This role will report to the Director of Sustaining Engineering and is expected to be a technical expert in the Product and Engineering organization and throughout Powin. Responsibilities -

  • Lead the assessment of field issues and initial RCAs; coordinate the handoff of deeper hardware issues to the HW QA organization; identify short- and medium-term fixes and execute on those fixes with the support of the rest of the Product / Engineering organization.
  • Support SW QA and on-site deployment on fixes.
  • Create and present reports following the identification and resolution of some of the issues.

Qualifications -

  • 2 or more years of technical experience with energy storage systems, power electronics, SCADA.
  • Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) is required.
  • Experience with device protocols (Modbus/TCP, Modbus/RTU, DNP3, SCADA, Sunspec) is a very strong plus.
  • Data analytics and Excel proficiency is a strong plus
  • CAD knowledge and schematics/diagram creation is a plus.
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to learn new frameworks, new environments, and new technologies
  • Creative problem-solving skills

This is a full-time, salaried position. Our preference is that you work in our Tualatin, OR facility once pandemic restrictions are lifted, but strong candidates could also work remotely.
